HIV/AIDS Strategic Plan
The
Ministry of
Health
,
Seychelles
, in collaboration with UNDP, UNAIDS and WHO is to conduct a workshop with
the aim of achieving consensus on the HIV/AIDS National Strategic Plan
2005 – 2009. The workshop to take place on Tuesday 26th
October 2004 at the International Conference Centre in
Victoria
, will group over hundred participants who will visit the draft plan and
make recommendations.
The
United Nations General Assembly Special Session (UNGASS) of June 2001
requires that all countries have a National HIV/AIDS Strategic Plan. A
complete Strategic Plan with quantitative and qualitative aspects will be
particularly helpful in pooling resources for sustained, coordinated
action. This will facilitate effective means of intervention, hence
meeting the needs of the country in the field of HIV and AIDS.
