SEYCHELLES DENTAL SERVICES
The Seychelles Dental Services fall under the umbrella of the Primary Health Care Division of the Ministry of Health. It provides dental services to the general public through its 2 major units.
The Mission statement of the Seychelles Dental Services is: “To promote a dental public health service within the population of Seychelles in its entirety.” This follows closely with the mission statement of the Ministry of Health, which is: “to promote, protect and restore the health of Seychellois citizens through the mobilization of national resources and effort. This is to be done through a caring, effective and comprehensive national health system. The health system serves all individuals and communities in a equitable manner through the Primary Health Care Approach.” The Seychelles Dental Services provide a decentralized service, with at least one dental clinic in the major health centres and also in certain schools.
