The Paediatric ward is situated on the ground floor of  left wing block of the Victoria Hospital. The Paediatric ward provides essential possible care to the children under the age of 12 years. The ward is sub divided into surgical and medical bays.

 

Services Provided

 

General Paediatrics

Neonatology including neonatal intensive care.

Outpatient clinics by paediatricians three times a week at specialised out patient clinic  - Victoria Hospital and once a month in Praslin and La Digue.

EVERY CHILD IS SPECIAL

 

Purpose of the Paediatric Unit

 

To Provide care to the children of Seychelles.

To Advise mothers on care of their children.

To advise Ministry of Health on Paediatric issues.

To Provide teaching in the field of paediatrics to doctors, nurses, medical students from abroad and student nurses.
